Listen, and Speak Openly

Listen, and Speak Openly

It was wonderful to see so many of you on Saturday for our first Parents’ Day of the school year. I really appreciated having the opportunity to meet, listen, and speak openly about how the children are settling in and progressing. I think everyone gained a lot from the day, and the conversations reminded us just how much we can achieve when teachers, students, and families work together. I’m very much looking forward to continuing that partnership throughout the year and finding the best ways to support every child’s development.
As we head into our long weekend, I hope everyone has a chance to relax, enjoy some family time, and return feeling refreshed. Learning doesn’t always need to look like homework, either! Reading together, watching something in English, having a conversation, playing a game, or simply encouraging children to use English naturally in everyday life can all make a real difference. The more comfortable they become using English beyond the classroom, the more confidence they will bring back into it.
Finally, with Teachers’ Day and the Moon Festival coming together around this holiday period, it feels like an especially nice moment to appreciate the efforts of everyone in our school community. Thank you to our students for the energy and enthusiasm they bring each day, to our teachers for everything they put into their classrooms, and to our parents for the encouragement and support that continues at home. Enjoy the long weekend, have a wonderful Moon Festival, and thank you for all your best efforts in making this such a positive start to the school year.
