On June 20, 2025, CTBC International Academy’s Junior High students hosted a dynamic and meaningful school-wide event as part of their Project-Based Learning (PBL) classes. Focused on community service and creativity, students planned and organized a charity flea market to raise funds for the Naivety ADHD Taiwan Association Foundation.

The event featured several student-led activities that combined fun with educational value. The Art PBL group invited participants to purchase bookmark templates and design their own bookmarks, turning simple materials into personal works of art. The Science PBL team hosted a mini science fair where students could purchase and experiment with Orbeez—tiny, water-absorbing beads that expand dramatically when soaked. These colorful beads served as a hands-on way to explore scientific concepts such as absorption, expansion, and states of matter. Meanwhile, the Computer Game PBL group showcased video games they designed and developed themselves, offering peers the opportunity to play for a small fee.

The flea market portion of the event was made possible through generous donations from the entire student body. From Monday, July 16 to Friday, July 20, students brought in gently used toys, books, games, and household items, which were collected each morning during drop-off. Thanks to this strong community effort, the flea market tables were filled with a wide variety of goods that were both fun and affordable, encouraging students of all ages to participate in the spirit of giving.

The entire student body—from kindergarten to high school—joined the fun, whether by designing, selling, exploring, or playing. The goal for the event was to raise 10,000 NTD, but thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of the community, students far surpassed expectations, raising over 28,000 NTD.
