New Project Based Learning Courses for Grades 7 to 9 at CTBC International Academy

CTBC International Academy is excited to unveil five new Project Based Learning (PBL) courses for our junior high students in grades 7 to 9 this fall semester! These courses are designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, providing students with engaging and exciting hands-on learning experiences. The new PBL courses being offered are as follows

  • Scratch AI與遊戲創作
    Taught by Mr. Lu, this course invites students to dive into the world of artificial intelligence and game design using Scratch. One of the goals of this course is for students to gain knowledge and experience creating their own interactive games. Students will also be developing coding skills and enhancing their problem-solving abilities while having fun.
  • 藝起來畫畫創作吧
    Under the guidance of Ms. Xu, this art class encourages students to express themselves through various creative mediums. Pupils will explore different techniques and styles, allowing them to discover their unique artistic voices.

  •  K老師的科學魔法教室
    In this engaging science class taught by Ms. Huang, students will be participating in hands-on experiments to discover the wonders of scientific principles. This course aims at motivating students to investigate and understand the world around them in an interactive and exciting way.
  • 數學我最強
    Mr. Lin’s math course will emphasize real-world applications of mathematical concepts. Through projects, games, and other methods, students will solve practical challenges, strengthening their analytical skills and building confidence in their mathematical abilities.
  • Journalism
    In this course, taught by Mr. Torrance, students will learn the fundamentals of journalism with the aim of understanding the requirements of establishing an official students newsletter.  They will engage in writing and reporting projects that help them develop strong communication skills, understand the ethics of reporting the news, and citing sources accurately.

These new PBL courses are a fantastic opportunity for our students to grow and thrive. We look forward to seeing the creativity and innovation that will emerge in these exciting learning environments!
