Learning Life-Saving Lessons

On Friday, October 18th, 2024, CTBC International Academy welcomed local firefighters for a special educational session aimed at teaching students some of the basics of first aid. As part of a regular series of Friday assemblies featuring guest speakers, this event offered students the chance to learn life-saving skills directly from experts. The firefighters brought training dummies and demonstrated how to properly perform chest compressions to keep blood circulating when the heart stops.
Students took turns practicing placing their hands in the correct position and applying pressure with a steady rhythm. This was a special opportunity to get a hands-on understanding of these critical first-aid techniques that could save someone’s life.
This event was part of our ongoing efforts to open students’ minds to a wide range of interesting and important topics. From learning first aid to hearing from various professionals, these sessions help equip our students with practical knowledge while encouraging them to become responsible and compassionate citizens.
