Honoring Growth, Gratitude, and Dreams

Honoring Growth, Gratitude, and Dreams

Written by Mr. Delpeche

Last week, while many schools held their graduation ceremonies, CTBC International Academy offered a unique celebration. Graduation at CIA was more than a formal event; it was a heartfelt tribute to our students. They had the opportunity to showcase their talents, share their personal journeys, and express gratitude to the teachers, parents, and friends who have supported them throughout their time here.

The ceremony began with uplifting musical performances. Our Grade 6 students performed A Million Dreams followed by Grade 9’s rendition of Viva La Vida. These pieces captured the energy and hope that filled the day.

Our Head Teacher, Mr. Woodman, delivered a warm message wishing the graduates every success in their future endeavors. One of the most memorable moments was when the graduating students passed a flame to the younger students. This  symbolizes hope and the passing of our school’s spirit and values to the next generation.

Following this, Elsa and Young impressed the audience with a beautiful performance blending the traditional guzheng with the vibrant rhythms of the cajón.

Several students shared reflections on their experiences at CIA speaking about the confidence, friendships, and sense of belonging they have gained. Their words resonated deeply with all in attendance.

After the event, many parents commented on the warmth of the ceremony and how it placed the students’ growth, interests, and stories at its center. This focus is a true reflection of the values we hold dear at CIA, nurturing every student as an individual.

Congratulations to all our graduates. While the younger grades will continue their journey within our walls, our Grade 12 students are ready to embark on new paths carrying with them the light of the million dreams they shared with us.
