A Warm Welcome to New Families and Staff

On September 7th, CTBC International Academy hosted its biannual Parent-Teacher Day, providing a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage with teachers, staff, and the wider school community. This event, designed to foster communication and collaboration between the school and families, was especially important this year as many new families joined the CTBC community.

The day began with a warm welcome from the school’s leadership team, who provided an overview of the Academy’s mission and goals for the upcoming school year. The highlight of the presentation was the introduction of new foreign teachers, who will be playing a vital role in enriching our students’ educational experience. These talented educators bring diverse perspectives and valuable teaching expertise to the classroom, further strengthening CTBC’s commitment to providing a global education.

For many parents, this was their first visit to CTBC, and the Parent-Teacher Day served as an ideal opportunity for them to get acquainted with the school’s environment, teachers, and staff. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as new parents met the dedicated team that will be guiding their children’s learning journey. Parents were also introduced to rules new and old for parents and students to follow at CTBC.

Following the main presentation, parents were invited to meet their children’s homeroom teachers. Each homeroom teacher prepared a detailed presentation about their class and gave parents an inside look at what a typical day at CTBC International Academy entails. From academic lessons to extracurricular activities, parents were given a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum, daily schedules, and expectations. Teachers also took this time to share valuable insights on how they support students’ academic growth and emotional well-being. After the homeroom presentations, parents had the chance to meet with any teachers they wished to speak with individually. This was a valuable moment for parents to address specific concerns or simply introduce themselves to the teachers working closely with their children.

Overall, Parent-Teacher Day at CTBC International Academy was a resounding success. The event also reinforced the Academy’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with families, which are essential to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.
