A Fond Farewell to the 114 School Year

A Fond Farewell to the 114 School Year

Written by Mr. McCue

As we say our final “Goodbye class!” for the school year this week, we look back on a remarkable journey filled with growth, discovery, and community spirit. As a young, steadily growing school, we are incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished together this year, truly proving that “We are family.”

This year was defined by unforgettable shared experiences. We kicked off our very first Terry Fox Run during Family Day, demonstrating an amazing commitment to charity from our students, parents, and staff. In the classroom, our academic and cultural energy shined brightly. A standout favorite was the Elementary Math Pi Day competition, where several students memorized between 70 and 130 digits of Pi. Grade 4 student Zoe called it “the most interesting thing this year.”

Meanwhile, our older students took on incredible leadership and hands-on challenges. Our Model UN program continued to shine, while the Junior High Spanish class engaged in vibrant culture-sharing through traditional food preparation. Additionally, our PBL class went above and beyond by writing and producing their own sitcom TV show. In the High School, our Student Council organized amazing spirit weeks and played a massive role in driving the success of our major campus events. This vibrant energy was felt across all grade levels; Grade 5 student Michael, who recently returned to us after spending two years in Australia, noted the exciting growth, sharing: “Our school is so lively. We have so many more events!”

There is no better way to share Spanish culture than through food!

We also celebrated through the arts and healthy play. Our festive Christmas concert brought us all together again, and creative classroom performances offered inspiring alternatives to traditional exams. This year’s art shows were a treat for the eyes, as our students continued to impress us with their talents. Meanwhile, our end-of-semester elementary soccer games beautifully taught the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

None of these successes would be possible without the unwavering partnership of our parents and the tireless dedication of our faculty. Because “We are family,” your support means everything. We wish everyone a safe, restful summer break, and look forward to welcoming our growing community back for another fantastic year!
