CTBC International School Hosts Hugely Successful Fall Information Session

Written by Mr. Medina

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, CTBC International School in Tainan proudly hosted the first of three planned Information Sessions for the semester. The event welcomed 50 groups of prospective families, all of whom attended — marking the largest turnout in the school’s history. This milestone reflects the growing interest in CTBC International School’s dynamic academic programs and nurturing learning environment.

The Information Sessions are designed to introduce potential new families to the school’s philosophy, curriculum, and community. Attendees represented all grade levels — elementary, junior high, and high school — giving visitors a comprehensive look at CTBC’s academic continuum and student experience.

The elementary session was led by Ms. Lin and Mr. Fergus, who guided families through the key aspects of life at CTBC. Ms. Lin shared updates about school developments, campus improvements, and daily routines, helping parents gain insight into the caring and structured environment that supports student growth. Mr. Fergus followed by discussing the curriculum and academic expectations, emphasizing the importance of strong communication between home and school. He also outlined how CTBC encourages curiosity, responsibility, and teamwork among its youngest learners.

For junior high and high school, Mr. Woodman led an engaging presentation focused on academic pathways, student life, and the school’s commitment to preparing students for success in higher education and beyond. He highlighted the balance between academic rigor, character development, and global citizenship — values that define CTBC’s educational approach.

Following the presentations, families were invited to explore the campus and facilities. Guided tours allowed guests to visit classrooms, browse through textbooks and learning materials, and speak directly with homeroom and subject teachers. This provided parents and students with an authentic sense of CTBC’s welcoming community and hands-on learning environment.

The event concluded with many positive conversations, new connections, and a shared excitement about what the future holds. As CTBC International School continues to grow, these Information Sessions remain an important opportunity for families to experience firsthand what makes the school special — a place where students are encouraged to discover their potential and become confident, compassionate global citizens.

The next Information Session will be held later this semester, and the school looks forward to welcoming even more families to learn about the CTBC experience.
