Admissions Briefing for CTBC International Elementary School

At CTBC International Elementary School, students follow their unique pathway in life. Through active participation in a challenging and stimulating environment; students grow and explore, both within an academic setting and outside of it. With a small class size, teachers are able to assess and assist students on an individual basis. Students benefit from a multi-faceted approach to learning: blending academics, arts, athletics, and service-learning opportunities. Our graduate is a capable, confident and able to contribute and make a difference in our ever-changing world.

CTBC International Elementary School provides a well-rounded and robust lower school educational experience. Students will learn the core subjects in a challenging and engaging environment. They will also develop the critical thinking skills needed to become a leader in the 21st century. In the humanities subjects, students will build strong reading, writing, and discussion skills. Through novel study and discussion, students will develop critical thinking and empathy through the stories, viewpoints, and ideas they listen to and read. In math and science courses, students explore their world through the active application of their learning with independent and group project assignments. Here too, students learn critical thinking skills through the discussion of ethics and ideas. In the arts, students learn how to develop their creativity and ability to express themselves.

CTBC International Elementary School also recognizes that students must learn how to adapt, grow, and thrive in a changing environment. Students learn to respect themselves and others, maintain a positive attitude, and be a positive change in the world. In learning about other cultures, students are exposed to new ideas and develop a better understanding of themselves and their place in the world. Students also learn that everyone is capable of making a difference, no matter how young or old. Community service opportunities allow for students to apply this training and to build teamwork and leadership experience.

CTBC International Elementary School students complete grade 6 with the writing, reading, and discussion ability needed to do well in middle school, as well as the curiosity, critical thinking, and empathetic capacity to become a leader in the 21st century.
